My story begins much the same way that everyone else except that we had trouble with our mortgage less than a month after refinancing.

We were reported one month behind to the Credit Bureau before our 1st payment was due Dec 1, 1998. This is our paper trail
1. American Home Loan centers (10-30-98) 2. WMC (11-1-98)
3. Bank of Amer. (11-98), 4. Nations Credit (0i-0i-99),(Euqicredit cashed 2 of our mortgage payments (not sure whether they held part of the paper. then 5. Fairbanks Capital.

We were not aware that the our mortgage had been transferred so many times until we requested a credit report last September 2002. Needless to say we were forced into a Chapter 13.

It is not against the law to transfer mortgages from one Company to another, but you would think that there would be be an account reconcilation (balance owing). Even on our Proof of Claim documents, the amounts have been typed in. Could it be that Fairbanks Capital has two sets of books?

I am asking that all Washington State residents that have been
victimized by Fairbanks Capital to contact the Attorney General
in our state. I received a reply this weekend. They are listening.
