Some one please help. Our mortgage was sold to Fairbanks Capital Corp in September 2002, since they purchased we can not get them to send statements and now just this week we received a Letter of Demand for payment stating that as of 11/01/2002 we owed double what our payment is which could only mean that we would be behind in payments but we are not. That is the whole problem - according to our account online we are current and according to the checks that Fairbanks have cashed we are current.

I am so lost, I want to refinance but we have an early pay penalty that I really do not know if I want to pay. We have a lender that states they could get us in to an FHA loan which I know is better but do I want to take the punch of the penalty?

We are trying so hard to clean up our credit and then this all starts again. Yes, again we were with Equicredit a few years ago and they have made our credit history look like swiss cheese.

It is a long hard battle to get the marks off of your credit but I am fighting the battle because I refuse to let Equicredit or Fairbanks get me down.

Our mortgage was transferred to Fairbanks Capital Corp. in January of 2003. We have had nothing but problems ever since. They claim we owe a shortage of over $5000. and it should be paid by a certaian date. After trying to get through to them which they said they would return our call. They sent another letter claiming we had to pay over $3324. The next month they yet sent us another letter claiming we need to send in to them $3220.98. In the mean time my husband and I are trying to get our divorce finalized so we can get on with our lives. But since the house has to be refianced or sold we cannot do anything until this matter is resolved. Not one person that I have spoken with from Fairbanks Capital has been able to help me. I have a mortgage broker thats been trying to help get some answers from Fairbanks Capital and both he and myself haven't been able to get any answers. So my life is on hold.
