Complaint Review: Fairbanks Capital

Fairbanks bought my mortgage from Olympus (which is also Fairbanks) in September 2002. I always sent my payments to Fairbanks by Western Union so that they would get them on the day that they were sent but they still reported me late 8 times and I was never late, I even showed them proof of my timely payments - they also took out lender insurance on my property even after I showed them that I have my own insurance on this property.

I refinanced my home with another mortgage company early this year and had nothing but problems with Fairbanks - they sent us four different pay-off statements and none of them were correct. It cost me a lot of money because of their late charges, the lender insurance they put on my home, and their prepayment penalty. They charged me over $3,000 in interest that I am still fighting to get back. In 2003, mortgage interest statements were sent out and I never received one from Olympus for the period of January 2002 through September 2003.

I have been trying to get one but now they want more money from me to get this document. This company is the biggest RIP-OFF I have ever seen. I hope things will be taken care of for everybody that is involved in the class action lawsuit and for those who are not and that Fairbanks goes belly-up and losses everything they have - just like they have destroyed just about everyone that comes in contact with them.
