Fairbanks Capital Ripoff Swimming with SHARKS Salt Lake City Utah
Just read the reports on Rip-Off reports.com. Our counselor at law advised me to check on any info that we could find on the internet concerning Fairbanks after we received our notice in the mail about the class action suit with Fairbanks. We just last Oct. lived thru Fairbanks SHARK attack on us and had to use our nest egg to stop a foreclosure that they started on us which got down to short of 48 hours before we would lose our home of 22 years.
The whole time our lawyer was fighting them but they keep draging thier feet and wasting time and comming up with insane amounts of figures that we owed them all of which were not true. At the end your lawyer said we had to declare bankrupcty or pay them and come back later and sue them as they just would not stop until they KILLED US !!! We paid thier insane amout and they stopped.
As of this day they still have not reg. the discharge of our mortgage or returned any of the many letters our lawyer have sent in regards to this matter. My only hope is that the so called Goverment rips them apart like they did to us and from what I'm seeing now on the internet many other people or will they be left to swim and feed like the SHARKS that the are.

I have written my own report and updated it a month ago. I too am in the same boat except my nest egg became a second mortgage. I have done research on Fairbanks, spent several hours on their website, logging in my account number & creating user ID's.
You can print all transactions for your account up through Jan 2002. Take the time, you'll be suprised what you would find. I printed over 40pgs of all transactions, fees occured (not detailed) but they were there.
When I went to closing for 2nd mortgage, the payoff increased serveral hundred and Fairbanks refused to release information to attorney as to why.
My attorney issued a dispute on my account, long in behold I get a package in the mail about 30pgs from Fairbanks with a detail summary of what charges they have charged me for...So far they are paid current,now on my due date statement for April 01,2003 they show I am in the RED 150.00,How can this be, they just got $28,000 Now they want more$.
My advice take the time research your account and have an attorney look at it. Mine Is.One more thing, 2 1/2 weeks have gone by since they got their $, still no discharge from the court of my foreclosure being revoked. BE-AWARE.
