Complaint Review: Fairbanks Capitol

My mother had her home financed with fairbanks and they are sharks. One mortgage company sold out to Fairbanks and that's how she got tied up with them. After my mother passed away in April of 2001, I continued to pay the same amount my mother did on the house.($378.00 monthly) My Lawyer advised me to continue to pay the payments and all I needed to send them was a death certificate of my mother's death.

Throughtout the summer of 2001 they would send my money orders back saying I was not paying the right amount or I was not making payments on time and making threats that they were going to come get the house. Between August and September they sent me a letter saying I was not paying payments and they were going to take the house.

I decided to call Faribanks once again, everytime I had a different loan officer and none of them hardly knew anything about the case. The loan officer did tell me they had foreclosed on my mother's home in May. I asked why and nobody could explain it to me. In conclusion, I don't like Fairbanks and I think they should have to refund people their money and the stress they put people through. I know I've went through this for 3 years.
