I was sold to fairbanks through equicredit. Then like most of the others the problems began They typed my address wrong and then sent me notices (at the correct address mind you) that i did not have insurance on the property so they put insurance on it for me. I have been with the same insurance company for 7 years. After several faxes and 1 and half years later i finally got the insurance off the corn field next door to me.

Not reliazing that they had been holding every mortgage payment one month till the next one came in to pay for the insurance that i didnot need. This was doing wonders to mine and my husbands credit report.
The good news is that we just closed on the refinacing of the house with a company that does not sell your mortgage.

But fairbanks charged me almost $4,000 in payoff fees and penalties. So on a 107,000 loan i had to pay almost 111,000 to pay if off. But you know what it was worth just not having to deal with them anymore. I also dropped 4% off my interest rate.
My suggestion is to run as fast as you can away from them. I know I did not think i could get a loan either but i did through my credit union.
