Complaint Review: Fairbanks - Select Portfolio

Fairbanks/Select Portfolio should be put out of business. They are out for blood.


They are foreclosing on our home because they say we are behind in a payment. I called them in July 2004 and told them that I would be 2 weeks late on a forbearance payment. I was told that would be okay, and to send it when I could (the conversation was suppose to be recorded).

I sent the payment 2 weeks later, I was called the next week and told that tey were returning my payment because, you can not be late on a forebearence aggreement.(they called me on my cell phone) I told them about the phone call I made to them and they have no record of it.

I still can't figure out how they got my cell #) Now it is Nov. and they still wont accept any payments. They want over $9,000.00 to reinstate my payments or they will Sheriff Sale my home in Feb. 2005. No one will refinance, when they find out I am with fairbanks, they say "GOOD LUCK".

What can we do, but file chapter 13. Any suggestions out there?? I filed a complaint with my state senatorandthe Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Development. I also contacted HUD, but they didn't help. They referred me to an agencty that charged me $1300.00 to do nothing. HELP
