This program is for those that are retired and have a very flexible schedule. During the purchasing part of the program we were assured that as "owners" we would have priority at our "home" resort. that has never happened.

Due to our work we cannot plan vacations a year or even 3 months in advance.

We purchased points at Gov. Green in Williamsburg, Va. in 2004. We lost 265,000 points last September because we were unable to use them. At that point we also found that we were members of "Interval International" and not RCI as we had been told during the selling process. A review of the paperwork did show that (stupidly) we had not read the fine print and RCI, although mentioned many times by the sellsman (my relatives bought at the same time and they have RCI, we had Interval)

Further, when we tried to use the option of staying in a hotel at a cheaper rate, we were told that they had to have 60 days notice.

Now, we are not longer VIP members because we have lost the bonus points(the time period has expired) and with the small amt. of points we now have. it is even more difficult to find "free days or weeks".

This is the worst investment that we have ever made! I would recommend it to no one.

Changes?

Wait - do you mean that if you cancel outside of 14 days, you lose your points, or just inside of 14 days?

This is interesting, if this rumor is correct.

Just wanted to let you know that starting August there will be changes to the cancellation policy. you will not be getting your points back. If you cancel within 14 days or travel you will be loosing your points. good luck with the company and program. lets see how much you like the company after all the changes you will see starting aug 07 and jan 08. your new directory will be mailed to you next month. read it over real carefully and look at all the changes that are being done.

Banking Points?

#4Consumer Suggestion

Fri, April 27, 2007

Jennifer,

Did your sales rep say anything about banking points? I find it hard to believe that you couldn't go that route instead of losing the points. Also, you can book something 10 months out (13 months at your home resort) and if you can't use it, if you cancel outside of 30 days prior, you can get all your points back.

My wife and I have two properties with Wyndham, Hawaii and Atlantic City. We are very satisified with them. We were able to book Hawaii (Kona) 10 months in advance, and had no issues once we got there, and even got a room with 2 porches. That was sweet.

Did the rep not state in the paperwork which exchange company you were working with? We got one in Hawaii that we didn't get with Atlantic City, and the sales rep made sure of this, showing us a catalog and we had to sign paperwork stating this new exchange company.
