Fairfield Resorts bait and switch vacation ripoff Pompano Beach Florida
December, 2005 We were given a 3 night reservation at the Palm Aire Resort or the Sheraton Yankee Clipper or the Sheraton Yankee Trader or a "comporable area upgrade hotel" (according to their welcome letter) in order to experience their facility in Pompano Beach, Florida.
When we got to the welcome center, we were given a voucher to a hotel 1/2 hour away and told to come back the next day to hear the sales presentation.
The hotel where we stayed was not a resort, not like a resort and charged for everything: $20 for a refrigerator, $9.95 for internet and $15 for parking - plus tax. These fees were in addition to the local and state taxes.
If you want to experience a time share facility, make sure you are staying at THAT facility and you know exactly what you have to pay for.
