I was in need of transporting my car. So like most people that know nothing about how car shipping works, I went to google and did a search for auto transport. I was given several search results. So I pick one and the one I picked was http://automovenow.com WOW what a mistake. I spoke to the owner of the company John Young and he took some general information from me like where is the car shipping from and to. Then he gave me a quote for the car to be transported from point A to point B. I agreed to the price that he gave me and was happy that I was able to get this taken care of.

LITTLE DID I KNOW I WAS ABOUT TO START THE BIGGEST NIGHTMARE OF MY LIFE. Next Fair Way Auto Transport came and picked up my car. Then the next day while the car was in transport I received a call stating that Fair Way Auto Transport was going to need an extra $300.00 Bucks. I said WHY? He said because we did not make enough money off this shipment and we are going to charge you an extra $300.00 or leave your car on the side of the road RIGHT NOW! Then the drivers showed up to my home and the two drivers demanded that I pay this new total amount in cash, they also acted as if they were going to fight me for this amount. Next the cops showed up and because this is a civil matter the cops said they could do nothing. Even though I had a shipping invoice that I received at the time I set up the car to be moved stating my total price. Ok now I am left with 2 options. One let these guys leave with my car and God Only Knows What Happens Then, or pay the additional $300.00 and fight it in court. So I paid the money and received my car. No I have decided to BLOG every day and educate other internet users about this type of scam business Fair Way Auto Transport is doing. Please before you choose your next company to transport your car, do some research on the internet about the company and make sure that they have been in business and belong to the BBB and have a great rating. I did not do my home work as well as I should have. But hey if I stop one person from getting ripped off from Fair Way Auto Transport then I might just sleep a little better tonight. Have you had a bad shipping experience? Leave your comments and let me know.

I personally shipped a car with Fairway and had no problems there professionalism was above the other companies that were used in the past by me. There were no additional hidden charges and I paid no more than the original quote, several other people recommended by me had a bad experience with this company. Never once did they try to rip me off, in fact their price was more than fair.

I am only voicing my opinion of this company.

First of all we think that this the customer Susan B and her daughter tele (((Redacted))), she and her daughter harrassed us continually, the deposit of $200.00 was refunded  and they made a score. The contract provides for 3 different types of services 1-standard service  5-10 day pickup from first available date 2-expedited service  1-4 day pickup from first available date which was 2/1/2010, the additional cost was $175.00, which was charged to the customer on delivery and discussed with susan band acknowledged by her in an email. During this process her daughter harrassed us every minute by indicating that we do not know who she is ?? Yesterday 2/15/2010 we received an email from the customer threatening as to what they are going to do to us, blogs, etc.

First of all there was no additional $300.00 demanded which is a lie to begin with, the customer even disputed the charge of $175.00, that is now in the works. Susan Baker sent an email acknowledging the cost which was $750.00 for the expedited service [clearwater,fl-south thomaston,me]

We do not charge any extras to our customers [the only item could be the type of service] which they pick by themselves, I assume that the vindictive daughter is causing these problems, we have emailed susan baker that the credit for the deposit will be released back to her, even though she is not entitled to it and that this matter should be finished.

We do have a copy of the threatening email and will post it if necessary as well as susan bakers' email accepting the expedited price. We have never had a complaint before and will not stand for these lies.

We suggest that she cease and desist immediately and retract any blogs, or comments placed elsewhere.
