Similar to many other cases (that I only read after getting scammed), it started with a man in a car asking for directions to Heathrow airport. After showing him directions he asked if I wanted some jackets which were too small for him, and said that he did not want to pay tax for those jackets. He went on to show me the jackets, talking about how each was worth around a few thousand pounds. He offered it for free, and then later asked for money to buy a macbook for his son's birthday, and then asked me to check the apple store to see how much money he needed. He claimed that he lost his wallet and that he would send me the money later, asking for my contact details.

He sounded very convincing, pretending to know a lot of things related to him. He asked for money, but I did not have enough, so asked if I could go to a ATM to draw cash. Because I fell for it (I've never heard of this scam before), i offered to get the cash I had from my room. He later willingly drove me back to my accomadation, all the while talking about how he'll invite me to Fashion events and how I have to contact him when I get to New York or Italy (similar to other scams), and continued in small talk that was really convincing.

After getting the money he pretended to check my contact details and offered me his namecard, and then left. His namecard has 2 numbers, the UK one which dosen't even work, and an Italian one.

My Japanese friend also got ripped off by a similar guy with a similar technique. I think this is a group of people who act worldwide to rip off people who are nice enough to trust them. He gave him an email Adress antoniodalecco74@gmail.com it’s not even working .. I’ve read about reports about this scam in Australia, USA and now UK and my friend in Germany. I wish that we could find out together who these people are.

Hi my friend,

I hope you can call the police and contact me because I have the same experience as you and have the same business card as you !!! I still remember the license plate number and have called the police. I guess this swindler is still in London and if we can cooperate together we still have the chance to find our losing money!
