Last year I walked into Falls Church Motors to purchase a car. I told the salesperson I was looking for something gas efficient and reliable. I also explained I had a handicap brother who I transported on a regular basis.
What I ended up with was a vehicle that has been trouble since the beginning. I was also told to buy the warranty to protect myself which I did.
When I first drove the vehicle off the lot I was shocked to discover all the fluids were in need of attention. I took care of this and didn't let it trouble me much. Within a few weeks a left me in the middle of a street in rush hour, Falls Church Motors did send a tow truck and fix the problem, The water pump had went. Since that time the windshield washer motor had been replaced (it went too) both oxegen sensors had to be replaced to pass emissions (the one on the bottom was broken) and I went to Advance and bought a brace for the battery when I discovered it was being held in plave by a bungee cord! About 6 months ago in slow moving traffic 2 blocks from home the pulley dropped off the car I was able to park at home and they sent a tow truck. They put the pulley back on & charged me 100.00. About a month ago I had a loud racket and took it to them for repair again. Again it was 100.00 and what they did was tighten the wrong bolt (which they had installed) which butted up to the broken piece they didn't think it was important to remove from the crankcase. So last weekend I stop by Shreve Rd & Broad St so my brother could use the bathroom. I pull out into traffic & hear a loud plunk. I am already enroute to a reputable service station to have it looked at. I lose the power steering and it starts running hot. The shop I took it to showed me the problem and are saving these parts for me. Falls Church Motors garage did not replace the bolt they butted a smaller bolt up to it which means this problem would happen again until it was fixed. It also means that it would likely cause an accident or death if it happened on the highway. Imagine a pulley weighing 15lbs dropping out of a car traveling 60 miles an hour & bouncing up (Very possible)This bolt goes into the crankcase, qualified mechanics do consider this part of the engine yet Tracker Finance said they do not cover this repair! Supposdly the "reason" for this warranty was to guard against engine repairs. Like these other people I need transportation not just to work but to get to the hospital, dr appointments, grocery shopping, etc. If it wasn't for my family and employer I would be finished by now and also paying for either a non-running vehicle or drivable hazard. Falls Church Motors indicated I could bring the car back to them but well they had 2 chances already to fix this and had no problem letting me drive the car which I consider dangerously flawed. If they are hiding behind religion shame on them!

Sad to say
