I would like to know if Family Dollar condones the behavior of their District Manager, of southern colorado. He constantly be-littles the women of his district by talking down to them, hollars at them in front of fellow employees and customers. He is constantly making racial remarks to employees. He insist you do not take any days off during December. Forces managers to work 60, 70 and even 80 hours a week.

As a district manager this man has no people skills at all. He is a bad reflection of the company. I can't believe he is in the positon of a district manager. I wonder if Family Dollar did any kind of background check on this man, because it is quite apparent he is not management material. All you have to do is look at his turnover rate of managers in his district and wonder why?

It's a shame that Family Dollar would have a person like him working for them, he is an embarrasment to career retail management employees. The stores in his district are a joke, dirty, cluttered, safety hazzards everywhere, poor morale, poor customer service.

I know the importance of your bottom line on your P & L's, but it sure would be nice to work for a company that cares for their employees instead of working for a company from hell......

I too worked for family dollar and was treated very unfairly. I worked 80 to 90 hours weekly. But Dave Haberkorn was the only DM that I encountered in my 4 years with family dollar in Texas that remotely cared for his employees. I can't imagine the way he is described here as being remotely accurate. I too am a female and I was treated with respect and fairly by him and him only through the company. Yes the company is a joke, but the DM have to follow their instructions are they will lose their jobs. My opinion is it is too bad good DM get stuck in horrific companies such as family dollar.
