I've DNA testing at FamilyTreeDNA as have members of my family, no problem. The results are emailed you in the form of a kit number or numbers, and they have on their website a large number of tools you can use to browse your gene match with others to whom you may be related, you resulting DNA analysis is stored in their systems. They search their database of others' tests and display the most likely matches to your DNA results, ordered by nearer to more distant likely relative order. I've found over a thousand likely relatives 4th cousin or closer and am going to the effort of confirming which is a real cousin, which is coincidental. It works great! And it has many other tools. I don't know who filed this Rip Off Complaint but it does not jive with my experience. I have only been using FTDNA for about a month. But it does work quite well!!

I'm the original poster and I've contacted Family Tree DNA repeatedly, and have been given the "we're upgrading our dB software" excuse for MONTHS.

This is the message I've been getting on my results page for MONTHS, Family Tree DNA just keeps changing the date.

"We've updated your "expected results date" to reflect the current
timeframe in which we anticipate them being available. We apologize for
the delay, but while the lab portion of your testing is complete, the
Family Finder program is transitioning from Human Genomic Build 36 to
Build 37. "

Family Tree DNA is still selling tests and promising results in 4-6 weeks, while I've been waiting for the results I paid for in DECEMBER 2012.

Family Tree DNA is committing consumer fraud and needs to be investigated by the Texas Attorney General's office!
