I bought my Saint Bernard as a pup, for future breeding purposes, and paid full price for full reg. papers. He left his breeders home, and had seen there vet, but I was not told until my vet told me he had dropped only one t******e.
I did not realize that was what I should have checked for before I took him home, as we met half way between our homes. Had I known this I would not have taken him, and would have requested a full refund. He was 8 weeks at that time.
Then as he aged, we noticed that his hair was leaving around his eyes, his mussel, and legs. He was always scratching and bitting himself. It did seem strange. I took him to my vet, and he demodectic mange mites infection.
That is a genetic flaw, he does not have immunities to fight them off. It is usually from the dam, but could be the sire. I was not awear of this when I did purchase him either.
Because of these two strikes, I will have him neutered, because I do not want to sell pups of this breed, that have the same problem. I want my buyers to be content with the purchase.
I was told I would get a replacement pup, if I returned him. After having him 4 months, with paying for many vet visits, Vet. Pet Ins. (VPI), and a micro chip, with my name and number, obedience classes and getting attached to him. But he is an expensive pet.
She did say when he was neutred $100.00 she would refund me, but that is not valid for the price I have paid for him and all the vet visits, etc. After doing business, and being mislead I would not want another pup from this breeder, nor would I recommend her to any future buyers.

I am writing in response to the rip off report that Charlene Bounds on ripoffreport.com. She has hurt the integrity of other kennels in the past,a nd continues doing so, ANyonw h*o would like to read emails poving points I am about to mention is welcome to write me at familysaints@comcast.net.
I helped place a dog for my Aunt with Charlene, and the dog 3 weeks later was diagnosed Cryptorchid by her vet. She was offered a replacement pup, and refused in writing. She then said she and her family had decided to keep the dog. 1 mnths later she contacted me by phone to sayhe'd been sick. went to the vet sometime thereafter, and called to say he had a skin issue and was very ill.
I called her back, and she said she was busy watching a movie, and could not talk to me. The next day I called her repeatedly. For four months she was offered a replacement pup, by my Aunt and money. She states she is too attched to the dog to let him go. She refuses then spends money on the dog, and sends me bills for his care, microchipping, etc.
She has started many problems with other kennels. To this day she WILL NOT send the dog back, but did enter into a contract with my Aunt to recieve a puppy from a female to be bred in May. my aunt was laye getting her signed copy BACK to Charlene, so charlene sent another bill totalling over 1700.00 to me because I helped place him.
She TOTALLY ignores the fact that she signed a contract, and repeatedly has people calling. She had a Saint Bernard breeder from Alaska (contact me privately to be given the breeders name and kennel)call here and pretend to be a potential puppy buyer. after talkin to me for about 30 minutes he revealied his identity and apologized. He stated Charlene Bounds said I nor my Aunt would return emails or phone calls to help her with the pup, I must have 100 emails to her and from her AT LEAST.
Please be careful when dealing with this woman. She is hurting our good reputation and name.
