Complaint Review: FAMOUS POETS SOCIETY

I write poetry for publication and I enter numerous contests.

Famous Poets Society has sent many notifications stating that I have won for one category or another. Iam told that my poems will be entered in a hard bound publication and that I should come to the conventions (usually $500.00 or more for hotel & banquet.)

I recieve a certificate saying that have certificates or plaques to pick up as I have won in whatever category.
I believe that the company sneds this type of scamnotice to almost everyone who enters. I have yet to win any cash awards and the majority of those attending probably recieve the same kind of 'fluff' prizes that they promise me.

This contest has been around for many years and has some legitimacy as they do offer ictures and names of those who have won in the past. They say the top prize of $50,000 is awarded each year. I don't believe that to be true.
