Fancy Puppies/ Rocco & Laura Garruto Fancy Pups, Selling Seriously ill puppies that are dying of disease. Avenel, New Jersey
On 12/15 a difference puppy died. This puppies vet called Rocco Garruto and told him he must isolate all the other German Shepherds due to a Parvo infestation. Rocco chose to take a gamble and sell me mine anyway -unbeknownst to me.
On December 19th I purchased a beautiful female German Shepherd from this MONSTER. After 2 days the puppy fell ill. I took her to the vet and she had 3 intesinal viruses and a distended colon. Right after I brough her home from the vet the diarrah started and so did the vomitting. Both were bloody. On 12/26/2011 I brought the puppy back to the vet who did another test and it came back possitive for Parvo. She never came home, we did all we could but she died in my arms on 12/31/2011.
I was in constant contact with Rocco Garruto and Fancy Puppies staff regarding the health of the dog and the amount of vet bills. He shown NO care. He made lame excuses that maybe another dog got my new puppy sick....I have no other animals, Newest sorry excuse was maybe I have a sick squirrel in my yard and it contaminated my puppy (Parvo doesn't pass between dogs or squirrels). Best one is he claims my vet got the dog sick.
While I was visiting his store he kept playing me up with stories that he supplies German Shepherd Dog to Police departments arround the state and trains them too. MORE LIES
Also per the laws....I was supposed to receive a document that my puppy was suitable for sale signed by a NJ State licensed vet. I never received this document (he said he gave it to me) This dog was to have all her first shots (including parvo)....another LIE
To date this monster is only offering me a small settlement, he's not concerned with the amount of money I paid out including $1500.00 in vet bills. Rocco Garruto buys his puppies from Amish Puppy Mills and will try to convince you he bred the dog. AVOID THIS MONSTER AT ALL COSTS. HE'S EVIL.
PS.....NJ State department of Consumer Affairs has 10 active complaints against him/Fancy Puppies and Middlesex County has 8 unresolved active complaints. SPCA is also investigating.
