FARM & HOME ENERGY CORY LONGACRE charged $3.69 gallon fuel oil instead of their going rate of $3.24 gallon fuel oil telford, Pennsylvania
1st they billed me 2 mths ahead and said i would have to pay immediatly if i wanted to continue their service contract.
2nd they billed me for $3.69 for fuel oil and after paying the bill mi noticed many other fuel companies were charging $3.20--$3.35 gallon for their fuel. i called farm & home anonously and was told their going price was $3.24 gallon fuel oil.
when i contacte farm & home, iwas given a hard time and refused to talk to suppervisor-- only aftyer askiung dozen times finally someone answered an was told someone would be back in touch--which never happened.
bucks county pa consumer protection tells me they have several reports of complaints--mike at conhsum er protection.
this company has engaged in many false and deceptive ads--one ad claims if you buy central air from farm& home you wilkl never need to buy equipment again--another ad claims if your heater is 10 years old its ineffeint and you must buy a new one to save money, at 6,000, i do not think so-- and their are others.
finally farm & home phone system leaves something to be desired-- it kept cutting me off before i mtalked to someone--they claim to check their phone every day--where i work has at leased 10 timnes more phone and we donot check unless a problem arises.
