Last night I was emailed by a fellow ebayer who accused me of plagarizing my ebay guide "How To Spot Fake Tiffany Jewelry", which I wrote in June of 2006. I checked the website she mentioned, Jewelry Appraisers of Florida (jewelryappraisersfla.com) and found that they had completely plagarized my guide. I emailed them last night and this morning their website was construction, I got an email from a representative asking how I would like my guide to be cited.
They have since removed my guide from their website but they still come up on Google when you type in "Fake Tiffany". I did research and found my guide has also been completely plagarized on the websites fashionaccessoryforum.com (by the Administrator Cindylou no less!). The website fashionaljewelry.com has also plagarized it. I've emailed the last two websites and have yet to hear back.
Last month I found that fakenot.com had plagarized my guide and I emailed them about it. They have since cited me as their source. I obviously want the information out there to help people, but I certainly don't want people thinking my work isn't original. Can I copyright my guide?

So I tried to log into the above site, to see if I had an apology forthcoming from either the website or the administrator, Cindylou. I found that I had been banned, the reason cited? None given. When the ban will be lifted? Never. My guess is that this is because I posted on the site and outed Cindylou in the Tiffany forum.
So this is what fashionaccessoryforum.com does when they do something unethical? They ban the person whose work they stole? Nice. I really hope the owner of this site sees this on the internet. I did an IP search and found that the site is run by a health club of some sort, but I couldn't find where they operated out of.
