Complaint Review: FASTRAK

FASTRAK State of California AKA State of Confusion THIRD ERRONEOUS TOLL VIOLATION NOTICE. - THIRD TIME IS NOT THE CHARM! San Francisco California

  • Reported By:

THE FOLLOWING IS A COPY OF THE CERTIFIED LETTER I SENT FASTRAK:

This is the third erroneous “EVASION” notice I have received from you regarding my P.O.V.  Each time the ‘so called’ picture was less than illuminating.  However, since I am the ONLY driver of my vehicle I am pretty sure that MUDDY picture was not mine, and in fact never has been.

I recently read an article from the Los Angeles Times [https://www.latimes.com/business/lazarus/la-fi-lazarus-disputing-a-fastrak-toll-evasion-citation-20180525-story.html] indicating that your computer [which you rely on far too much] sent out no less than 368,600 toll evasion notices a month!  And, according to your numbers, out this only 7,372 were incorrect.  I’m sure that in the State of Confusion [yes that’s what they call California in other States] only a 2% error rate must be totally acceptable to you.  To the rest of us it is an egregious miss-use of my time for which I am not getting paid!!

  • THE FIRST TIME I RECEIVED ONE IT WAS JUST MYSTIFING.
  • THE SECOND TIME IT WAS IT WAS A MORE THAN A LITTLE IRRITATED.
  • THIS TIME IT IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

I was promised with the second notice by one of your minion’s that a note would be placed in your computer regarding this plate number to ensure that a REAL PERSON ["flagged for “human intervention.” – according to the article] would review it and I would stop receiving this insipid correspondence.  Apparently you’re minion lied.

A close look at the photo and you will notice that the license plate has ONLY 6 DIGITS – NOT 7!

NOTE:

YOUR COMPUTER NEEDS EYEGLASSES!

I will hold onto this letter as [further] evidence of harassment by you and will be taking it to an Attorney for possible legal action if this is not corrected now AND in the future.

SINCERELY IRRITATED ALMOST BEYOND WORDS,

fraudulent toll fees from fastrak

#2REBUTTAL Individual responds

Sun, November 15, 2020

I am a San Diego resident  owner of a white CX5 mazda, for the past two months I have been recieving toll evasion fees from Fastrak SF, the notices have a camera shot of a dark colored lexus obviously not mine but have mismatched LP# in error, I have responded with disputes and supporting documention of proof that I am not the responsible party and owner of this car , the jerk driving the Lexus keeps sailing through the toll without paying thinking he's getting away with it but I'm the one receiving the penalties.

Customer Service is non existance ,office is closed due to Covid, I did receive a call from someone who said my issue was flagged and they would not be send any more notices of toll evasion penalties but they keep coming. I have found numerous complaints similar to mine in yelp and other sites and discovered a recent class action suit against them , not sure if its ongoing or closed but you'd think they'd straighten up their fraudulent tactics by now .Amazing that this company is still in business as the complaints go back to 2013 from what I've found . any feedback is welcomed appreciated on how to resolve this harrassment .. thank you : )
