Complaint Review: FathersChoice - Charles Darcus

In June I was searching for an organzation to help with my child support issues. So I went online and found Fathers Choice.

Well this turned out to be a hugh mistake. The contract that I agreed to with Fathers Choice was the initial set up fee of $98.00 and the monthly fee of $48.95 as long as I continued to use the service.

Well Mr. Darcus whom was my case manager to it upon him self to change the agreement and try and force me to quickly sign a contract to have his firm represent me in court. Which would be a $1,000. fee. At this point a few weeks later I noticed that a $300.00 debit was taken out on my checking account by Fathers Choice.

I called Mr. Darcus and explained that a mistake was made and that I had not agreed to this transaction. Mr. Darcus went on to try and change my mind and insist that this was agreed upon. I explained to him at that time that this type of behavior by a company that is suppose to do good is unacceptable.

From this point he kept putting me off, and stating that he would call me back in regards to this problem, but Mr. Darcus would never return the phone calls. So I tried to get a fax number and a supervisor's name. This process to 3 days before I could finally trick one of the representatives into giving me the telephone number to the case manager supervisor, who is Tom Hutchison and telephone 866-930-2254. Note I have not been able to get in touch with this person as of yet. I wonder if he is real or a made up person.

Well as of today 07/28/08 this started back on 06/15/08 I have not received my refund and I have come to the conclusion that this is another one of the many California Scam Company's. At this point I'm filing a complaint with the BBB in hopes of closing this company down. I advise that if you are searching for help with your child support do not choose this company because they are worst than the actually child support agencys out there that represent the custodial parent i.e. attorney general, IRS and so far.

Bottom line they stole $300.00 dollars out of my checking account and I'm still awaiting my refund.
