Purchased a cockatoo from Barry parrots farm.com. After days of requesting an itinerary or flight number for bird to be shipped, was contacted by Faurt Pet Delivery, Ben Castro, via phone and Email. Had to print, sign, scan and return a notice of new ownership to be able to pick cockatoo up at airport. I was sent an itinerary, with flight numbers, but no airline carrier info. Approximately 1.5 before bird’s arrival, received an email and call from Fruarts stating that I had to pay additional money, $350, for a "special crate” to ship bird. I informed Mr Castro that the airlines informed me that that was not required due to an air conditioned and pressurized cabin, he hung up on me. I then contacted Barryparrotsfarm.com, the "breeder”. Barry stated that the delivery service now had the bird and that I would need to take it up with them. Barry stated that with the paperwork that I signed, the cockatoo now was owned by me. I contacted both requesting a physical address to go collect my Cockatoo with no response. I have requested a refund, but no response. These two obviously are working together, both have the same accent. I don’t believe there ever was a bird, and if there is, why can’t anyone give me the physical address that he is located at to collect my bird that I "now own”. Not only was this fraud, but possibly theft.
