Faus Group, Inc 15 Year warranty- A Ploy to get consumers to install the flooring, then not honor it consumer fraud ripoff Dalton Georgia .....

I purchased a Faus floor from Oceanside flooring in Oceanside, NY (Long Island). After a few months the floor started to fade and warp. I reported this to the installer who forwarded it to the distributer, Gold coast flooring. I never received a call back after many calls. I had a death in the family, so I forgot about the problem. I then called to follow up and all parties involved acted like I never called. I had to start the entire process over.

When the first inspector came, he wrote the report and stated that the floor was defective, and it should not fade, as it states in the warranty, and it appears that the laminate is peeling away from the backing because of defective glue. Then I was told that another inspector had to come, a supposed independant (though paid by FAUS, independent?????), who came, was rude and said that it was not defective. I followed up with Stan Barden of FAUS in Georgia, who said that his "independant" inspector said the floor was not defective, and they will not repair my floor. So now I have damaged floor. I contacted the BBB, and they said that I must hire my own inspector, at my cost, and then I may not get back what I paid. What a ripoff and a lesson learned.
