FBNR, Fictitious Business Name Renewal Service, also known as Compliance Filings, TOTAL SCAM AND RIP OFF.

Legally, they seem to be a legit company in that they offer legit services, but they deceptively present themselves as a government agency with government looking forms that include government-type file codes, etc. They are actually a service company that will renew your FBN for $150, when it can be done for about $25.00 with any County Recorder's Office. Of course, they fail to inform you of that.  You will receive their form about six month before the county with which you are filed will send you a renewal form. If you call you'll get a very professional recording.

I did find it interesting that if you go to their website, they do not offer the form for renewal, they simply refer you to the form they mail you - most likely because they know it does not meet the legal parameters of stating they are not a government agency in the appropriate manner.

Do not use FBNR or let their threats that you will lose your Fictitious Business Name scare you into sending them your money - you will not lose your FBN without the County you are registered in contacting you first.

FBNR IS A HUGE RIP OFF AND SCAM ARTISTS!!!

Their website is fbnrs.com
