If you are having problems with FCNB (aka- Eddie Bauer, aka- CMS, aka- Cardholder Management Services, L.P., aka- Card Processing Center) you may want to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau online www.bbb.org, and the New York State Attorney General's office via fax or mail.

I have also had nothing but PROBLEMS with this so called "professional" company! I recently filed my report with the BBB and also the State Attorney General's office since they are trying to charge me a late fee of $35 when they are the ones that failed to do a change of address notification since September 1, 2003, yes that's right!

I notified them by mail back in September and almost three months later they finally send me a bill with a late charge telling me that I never made payment! Of course I didn't make a payment since I never got a bill and I couldn't call them, so I sent them a letter, actually THREE letters asking them to PLEASE change my address!

This company SUCKS big time and we all need to complain to the authorities so that something can be done! I wonder how a business like this even survives!?!?!

The BBB office that would handle your complaint is www.bbbnewyork.org. Here's something even funier, from the company themselves if you go to their website (www.cardworks.com/whats/press/press6.cfm) they say and I quote, "We are pleased that MBIA has recognized Cardworks' ability to successfully provide financial institutions, card issuers and regulatory agencies with this type of service," noted Cardworks chairman and CEO Donald Berman. "Signing this agreement with MBIA further demonstrates our ability to service sub-prime accounts in a unique manner." Unique manner?????

I think they mean by hiding and making it almost impossible for their so called clients (people that owe them money) to contact them and get assistance! I finally tracked down a phone number and hope that it helps you out: 800-727-3348. Hope this helps!

Late Charge after paying off balance due. How long is the Better Business Bureau going to

#2Consumer Comment

I called the automated account info number to get
the entire balnce due to pay off my Speigel
Account.

I sent in the check, and had no response for several weeks.

I called the automated system again which stated
they received a payment of over $1300.00, and that I now had a balance due of $35.00.
This is not the first time this outfit has charged
unnessary fees.

I had been on an automatic payment plan and once this company took over they stopped accepting
it, consequently I was charged late fees again.

How long is the Better Business Bureau going to
let these people get away with this.
I'm on a tight budget and have worked very hard to pay off this account only to be charged for
something I no longer owe.
Card Processing Center is nothing but a bunch of cheats, trying to get rich off of working class
folks!!!!
