After having an account in good standing with Spiegel for over 7 years, I received a call in March stating that I was behind two months in payments. I was then told that Spiegel was going out of business and that I needed to make up two payments and pay ahead two payments, which I did. I did not receive another bill until one week ago, after receiving another call from them saying I was two months behind. I owed approximately $200 in March, and now owe $350 after making $120 in payments. I was told last week by the customer service rep that they could not accept any more electronic payments passed June 21 as their call center would be closing.

She did not know who would be sending out bills, or how/where payments would be made and that it really wasn't her problem. I still have not received notification from anyone as to where my next bill should be mailed and it is due on June 26th. Sign me up for class action! I am reporting them to my Attorney Generals Office in Ohio. I am certain I can't be the only one having these problems!

FCNB SUCKS!

I thought I was the only one having problems! I can't get a hold of ANY human beings over at FCNB! As soon as FCNB went bankrupt, my next monthly statements were a mess! My minmum payment Quadrupled! I was SOO upset! I kept getting the run around from FCNB and later told me that they had fixed the problem. Well it didn't `get fixed. I ended up doing a "transfer balance" through my credit union and paid off FCNB immediatly! They recived a check for over $2,700 from my/credit union to pay off my account. The funny part was as soon as they cashed my last payment, I was charged a return check fee, late fee and a over the limit amount. FCNB was charging me MORE $!!! What a f**king joke! They weren't happy with my last big payment I guess. But if there is class action suit, PLEASE inform me! I have to write a letter to them once a week to keep requesting a letter stating that my account was paid in full and is now closed. They have yet to respond. I'm going on 4 months doing this letter campaign. FCNB can go to hell!

The same exact thing happened to me this month. The woman who called me at work said I was late but I never got a bill. She told me thatlegally, they don't have to send one. Extremely rude!!! We'll just have to watch this site for information and do our own thing locally until then. Good Luck.
