First Consumers National Bank First Consumers National Bank Spegiel Newport News Ripoff I was not notified of change of billing address. i included it hoping to help someone else avoid the same problem I am having Beaverton Oregon .....

I have been a customer of speigel and newport news through F.C.N.B. for many years, in all this time i have always made my payments on time. I mailed my payment two weeks early in the enevelope THEY provided. After my check still hadn't cleared and becoming concerned I called, only to find out the phone number has changed and the new number is only an automated system. After calling every number i can find trying to actually speak to a person I am informed the payment address has changed.

Why wasn't I notified? My account now shows an additional charge of $35.00 for a late fee. My payment should and definatley could have been recieved in plenty of time had anyone from this company at any time let me know to mail the payment to a different address. This seems terribly unfair to recive a penalty when the company not the customer is at fault.
