RIPOFF !!! I received a letter two days ago that this company is closing all charge acounts(Visa in my case)and not due to my credit history or actions.

The following has happened to me more than once.
Remember this happened without making charges for the previous month. The company sends a statement and asks for a minimum payment. I make the payment plus a little extra. The next bill states,as well as a separate letter, that I've gone over the limit and am being charged a late fee. The big question is,
"WHY NOT REQUEST A PAYMENT WHICH WILL MAKE MY BALANCE WITHIN MY LIMIT!"

When I called the answer was insane! "Well, you didn't figure in that the finance charges will put you over limit." I said, "With all the computation, why not request the amount I should pay with the finance charges in mind?

Reply, "Well, we don't do that. You have to figure that out."

Too much extra work for the company, or just a "RIPOFF", to keep the card holder over the limit????

PS, called today, recording stating, "unusual call action, 17 minute wait". Maybe other people are sick of "THE RIPOFF"!!
