Complaint Review: FCNB

FCNB is a ripoff, when they try to state that I am late it is impossible. Hicksville New York

I have been paying on my account with FCNB/Card Center for two years now and within that time I have been assessed several late fees.

The problem that I have with that is that my payments are automatically deducted from my checking account every month. When I am paid three times a month (twice a year) I actually send in an extra payment. So, when they try to state that I am late it is impossible. My payments are actually ahead of schedule. The first couple of times I tried to contact them in regards to the late fees assessed to my account is when I realized that my account had been closed. I was unable to get in contact with anyone via phone. This last late payment fee angered me in a way that I searched all around to find a number to call. After investigating, I also discovered that the address had been changed to where the payments are to be sent which is extremely suspicious to me. The number that I was able to get in contact with someone is (516)576-8706.

I was able to receive a credit on the last late payment fee and on the next statement two payments were listed one day apart. I have never sent my payments in that manner. I am hoping that now that the payment address has been changed in my records that my payments can be received in a more timely manner. We will see.

But what angers me is the fact that the company has been able to report to the Credit Bureau that I have been late on some payments when this is not the case at all. It is very frustrating and this is why I have taken the time out to write this report. I hope I have been able to give some information that may help others because this is not right to the consumers involved.
