FCNB ripoff Portland Oregon
FCNB recently called me to tell me i was chosen for a 3000 nminute calling card for free. I could use it for 20 days and then cancell without any charges within 20 days. I never received the card and basically forgot about it untill i had 2 charges of 59.99 on my card the next month.
I tried to call them but couldnt get through. The next month i had charges totaling 300.00 for this phone card i never received.
On March 5th i received a notice saying that all my charging privileges would be terminated on March 7. Not because I was a bad consumer but they were doing it for business reasons. And that this was a courtesy they were doing me. by notifying me 2 days ahead of time.

Ok for one you are probably talking about Direct One Long distance which is NOT FCNB calling you. All you need to do is call them (direct one) and they WILL reverse the charges in the mean time call us 1-800-876-3262 and let us know what is going on, when those credits come in we WILL remove the late fees on the acct and WRITE a dispute letter there is an address on the back of ALL your statments.
If you would do this you would not have the problem you have. I worked for the bank for 3 years and have currently left due to my own reasons, nothing the bank did.
We did everything by the book the fees you recieve are in your contract that most people dont read and if you take 5 min and read it you will understand why we put the fees on there. Closing the bankcard's had NOTHING to do with you as a customer, it was something we HAD to do. We had NO choice!
Do you think the employees like losing 1.8 BILLION accts??? Makes less jobs for us. We are not horrible people its people that just want to argue that get no where. So try this, be nice take a deep breath and call them and talk.. not yell talk it works i promise.
