Complaint Review: Fed.Gov./grant dept.

I received a telephone call from a person identifying himself as;  Jason Lambert. He told me I had a grant coming from the federal Gov. and he was employed by the grant dept.  He tried to get me to give him a bank or crdit card #. I told him I would prefer a certified cashiers check. At this point he gave me his Senior acct. managers telephone number. He identified this person as one ; Nate Johnson at 306-200-0902. I was to call this person for verification of the legitamancy of this call. I made the call and sure enough, I was asked to purchase a secured prepaid Walmart card as a way to help cover the costs of the money they had to pay or their costs to procure this grant. Please note that both of these people had foriegn accents and they were both fast talkers. I was warned not to discuss this with anyone or to give out my grant ID #.  I told them I would investigate this call further and would get back to them.  

I called my privacy guard co. and they said my account had not been compromised. My concern is that they have my ;physical, mailing, and both my home phone and cell phone numbers. I asked where I could report this and was told to put a 90 day alert on my accounts, with any credit report co. ...I called the phone co. to put a trace on the phone #. The best they could come up with was it was made from , Longview , Washington.
