This company sent a letter to collect on a debt which is not mine. When I called the company they said the debt had been purchased from LHR in January 2004.

They asked for my social security number. BEWARE!! They even said they were looking at my Transunion credit report and quoted my credit score. AGAIN BEWARE! They immediately offered to settle for a portion of the "debt."

I called the alleged creditor who verified that I had no such debt! I spoke to the creditor's Collections Dept and also their Fraud Dept. Then I checked my credit report and no such debt appears!! FRAUD!!

My next step is to send a registered letter requesting the verification of the debt as they indicated in the letter I could do. As indicated by others about this company, I don't expect to get an answer.

It appears from the dates of the complaints on this website that this comapny has sent out a lot of letters recently. If not reconciled to my satisfaction, I plan to file a report with the US Postal Service for mail fraud. Would encourage anyone else to do the same, as this company has to stop their unethical and illegal mailings.
