Yesterday I recieved several calls from Fidelity Credit. They told me that I was referred to them by a bank from recent denial of credit under certain conditions. I was just listening because I have no experience in this field and I just turned 18 not to long ago so I did apply a few places for a credit card to to help build my credit.

Basically Fidelity Credit asked for information such as my name and address and other personal information. From my understanding they were going to issue me a credit card, but needed by banking information (routing number and account number) to see if I currenty had an open account. Now after giving them my information they told me there was a $129 processing fee. I did not want to pay the money so I stopped the entire process.

I wasnt comfortable with the situation in the first place and followed my intuition by using GOOGLE to search the phone number and then I came across articles to back my suspisions.

Now that Fidelity has my personal and financial information I am going to make what I think are the nececssary actions to stop them from taking any money from me. First thing this morning I will put a lock on my checking account by calling my bank, and then I will go into a branch to close my account and open another account but with another bank. Then I will call Fidelity Credit, informing them that I know of their scam and hopefully I can get them to delete my information.
