So-Called Russian Sportsman and Traveler Fedor Konyukhov Deceives His Fans and Audience

I have info that makes me believe that Mr. Konyukhov, so-called famous Russian traveler, is just a freak. As you can see from the text on his website

("Mega-Yacht" konyukhov.ru/cgi-bin/cm/get_doc.fpl?s_id=1561&doc_id=933; please see a copy of this text enclosed).

the yacht which is being built for Fedor is almost absolutely reliable one; and that would be solely an absolute awkward who might get drowned while sailing it. His other yachts are built in a similar way; for instance, his yacht "Alye Parusa", which he uses now, has quite close parameters. I would like to know, what are his achievements, then? Is it crossing oceans in super-reliable super-maxi-yachts? Could Mr. Konyukhov achieve the level of travelers who crossed ocean alone in small boats? He never did it in a smallboat.

I decided to check Mr. Konyukhov's achievements in more detail, and after some research and investigation, I realized, just what is the reason why he prefers only big yachts:

These yachts, like "Alye Parusa" or the one described below, have enough space to keep several team members inside, while hiding this fact from the public. When Mr. Konyukhov was or is to run a new "one-man" travel, the team members helped/help him during this travel, being invisible to the public, since, as you understand, nobody else can see or video Mr. Konyukhov's hidden team when they are traveling in oceans and when the team members leave their rooms to help Mr. "One-man traveler".

I was informed about this fact, that is imitation of one-man travels, by a member of his team, who prefers to be anonymous. It is easy to come to this conclusion logically. As you are aware, Fedor is known to be, besides being an "outstanding sailor", as:

A) "A mountanist". He reportedly climbed Everest and several other high peaks. I don't know, how could he do that, since he is weak physically (his stature is around 5 feet)? Yet with a heavy backpack on his back. This makes doubt about whether this achievement is real. And also, since he is so weak, how would he cross ocean in a small boat, if he had decided to do so?

B) "An artist" (he "paints nice paintings");

C) "A dog racer". And why not an elephant racer?

Such an advanced sportsman should also have long ago become a fighter aircraft pilot. Why didn't he?

Russians often imitate their "highest" achievements and records. I believe you remember the "famous miner" Mr. Stakhanov from 1930's. He once made a 14 time over the quota record when it came to coal mining. Then there appeared other no less famous miners who made up to 20 times the quota, and above. Soon the "secret" got exposed:

In a mine, a miner never works alone. He is helped by several other guys, and there usually work several mining crews in one mine, that is several miners and their aids. Now if all of them (that is, all other miners and their crew guys) work for one coal miner, for instance Mr. Stakhanov, and if we don't divide the amount of coal mined by the number of guys who were helping the miner mine the said coal, but attribute all of coal mined to one miner, then that for sure would be the world mining record, and maybe even the record of our Milky Way galaxy. In that way, our very own American miner might be able to "break" that "record" by "mining" up to 1,000 tons of high quality coal per shift.

Sincerely,

MEGA-YACHT

During the period from 2005 to 2008, Fedor Konyukhov plans to build a fifty-meter long sports and expeditionary yacht to carry out two solo round-the-world sailings: against the wind (from the east to the west) and down the wind (from the west to the east).

After that, it is planned to use the mega-yacht as an expeditionary vessel. The goal is to sail quickly and safely in all latitudes without any weather restrictions, to shoot films about the nature of
the Ocean, remote islands and to carry out scientific studies in Southern and Northern latitudes of the World Ocean. The yacht will have high-speed characteristics and, at the same time, it will meet
all the requirements of a reliable expeditionary vessel.

In order to work on this project, Fedor Konyukhov invited a famous French designer.

It is planned to build a yacht of super-light aluminum (allustar). Aluminum as a construction material will not only decrease the cost of the construction by 25% - the aluminum hull and the inner aluminum structure enable to transform cabins, compartments and deck superstructures quickly in accordance with the tasks set for the boat.

After solo round-the-world sailings, the yacht can be easily transformed into a crew vessel (4 members of the crew and 16-20 passengers). The material allustar is resistant to corrosion or ageing delamination (unlike carbon fiber). The service life of such an aluminum yacht is 25 years.

Hi Patrick, you asked:

"Just how has this man ripped you off? Is he insulting your intelligence? Did you donate money to his cause?

I say, let him make all the claims he wants, as long as he is not conning money out of people in the process."

Yes, you are correct, this Russian is insulting me and not only me, by imitating his achievements. It is really insulting when you discover that a famous person whom you esteemed is just a freak. And yes, he IS conning money. What do we TV watchers pay for when we are watching his next "ocean show", that is travel?
