Feit Electric Company, Inc. Don't buy the R30 reflectors. They will burn out quickly. Internet
So I thought it is time to go green and save the environment yada yada yada.... but wait ....... converting all my reflectors to CFL is going to be expensive!! but again it will save on heat as well ... AND they last longggg....something like 8 to 10 K hours!! Alright I spent the money and bought 18 of them to replace whole house.
Whaddaya know! First one stopped working in less than three months. No big deal I said ...... It's a bulb. I put in a box in garage so that I can dispose it properly. Well, the second one stops working as well. There it goes in same box. So in less than 8 months I had 8 non working bulbs. Then I read the warranty on box. FEIT says they will replace the bulbs!! I said yeah right!! But I gave it a shot and called them.
The nice lady who took my call heard me out and got the serial numbers off the bulbs from me. Now, I am told that my bulbs are past warranty!! How did this happen? Did the store sell me bulbs that were sitting there for more than a year? or is FEIT trying to make a fool of me? I was offered to submit the receipt but I don't think I saved it.
So being super generous they offer that they will mail me 4 bulbs even though I was out of warranty. I was made feel that I was taking advantage of them and they were being really nice about this whole thing.
Meantime 4 more bulbs have died. I didn't bother calling them again. I would stay clear of FEIT product specially the R30 reflectors.

Warranties and sales slips!

Best advice I can give you for the future- when you buy something under warranty, SAVE the slip or make a copy of it. Staple it to the original box/packaging and put it in a manila envelope or a box with all other warranty slips. I make use of those warranties ALL the time, especially those items with LIFETIME warranties like outdoor hoses! You have to bear some of the burden here. If you had saved your slip, you could have proven that the store sold you OLD bulbs!
