This is my detailed account of what happened to me and how I was scammed by Femi A Ojo. My first experience with Femi Ojo was in October 2016 when he sent me a facebook friend request, and then started private messaging me. He was very nice and personable and asked if I was struggling with sales and conversions for my online business. I was in a great affiliate program at the time but still had no sales. He told me he was in the same program , and he sent me the link to his 90 day fast track program which was guaranteed to have me making at least $10,000 a month in commissions by the end of the 90 days or he would pay me $1,000 for wasting my time. He said he wanted me to eventually become CEO of my business. The coaching was free and would be paid for at the end of the program using some of my commissions I had made. Also he told me he had a "secret" traffic source that only himself and 2 other companies use (one being Empower Network). [continued below]....
He also said he had an expert phone sales team of 3 people who will close the sales for me so I don't have to. And that the phone staff does a 2-stage process which includes: 1) 10 min call to build the relationship and weed out the tire kickers 2) A booking for a 30 min. presentation He said the reason he was offering this for "free" is because he wanted to create success stories that he could use down the road to help him command a very high consulting fee. He said he does no facebook marketing or email marketing because he does'nt have to ... his program does the marketing for him and generates alot of sales. He said he makes around $30,000 a month using his 90 day fast track program and eventually I will be making that too...with his help. He bragged about living in a very expensive highrise and living the good life. I knew the importance of following a leader in the industry who is making the type of money that I wanted to make and it sounded (at the time) like the program I was looking for. I joined in early November, 2016. He said that I would be using his name and position as a leader as leverage in my sales letter.
We would be coaches for others wanting to join us in business, and my picture along with his would be used in the sales letter. Then he said I would need to pay $297 to have him to put together the sales letter, which would also include a 30 day email follow-up series (which was about 8-10 emails in total). I paid the $297 to (IWA Marketing, which he said was his business name) and set up an AWeber account for the emails per his instructions. After a few days he contacted me and showed me my new sales letter with our pictures on it, and said that I needed to buy traffic from his "secret source" to start the ball rolling. He suggested it would be in my best interest to buy 3,000 clicks for $2550 to guarentee the sales to get me to at least $10,000 -$12,000 a month. I only had $2,000, I told him. He said I could pay him the remaining $550 after the campaign with my commissions earned. He then said I needed to pay the phones sales team $500 for every 1,000 clicks which is $1,500. Mind you this is suppose to be a "FREE" program.
He asked for my login details for the Aweber autoresponder and loaded my email series follow-up. Then skyped me and asked that I log in to my affiliate program to get my link for the offer. He shared the screen and watched as I did this. Then talked about this brand new 36" computer monitor he had just purchased and he felt like a guru it was so big. And also some video equipment he also bought so he could turn a spare bedroom into a studio. I was happy for him of course. I love to hear about people doing well in the industry. He then said there were a few people before me so my traffic would begin the following week. The campaign will run every week for 1 month and that we share the same traffic broker with other affilitaes so we take turns w/purchased clicks. After the 1st month, I am to take some of my profits and buy more traffic.
I asked what I was suppose to do in the meantime. He told me to read 2 different marketing books and kick back and let the program and his sales team do the work. And he would do dome training with me after the 90 days to keep the momentum going. The following week I started getting notifications from Aweber of email addresses coming into my account around 200 in total. He contacted me and said "I have great news...2 people decided to join our program, and I just made $3,000." I was thrilled...or so I thought. I then contacted him about 4 days later, via facebook PM and asked about the 2 sales. He said there was a problem with their banks and it was being straightened out and would contact me. His demeanor was completely different this time. He became was very short with me, cold and unfeeling. Well, my traffic stopped after the first week and I only got approx 200-300 clicks (I paid for 3,000 clicks) I then waited another week and contacted Femi asking again about my sales. He said "you should have been paid for those by now...let me check with my phone sales team and I'll get back to you".
Another week went by, and I contacted him again, asking about the sales and when my traffic would start up again. (This was about 3 weeks into the program). No response... Everday after that I contacted him asking the same questions, and still no repsonse. When I told him how dissapointed I was with him that he wasn't answering my questions, he threated to block me. And...I never heard from him again. I had been scammed. I believe he used his own affiliate link in the marketing instead of mine and then took the sales. Although I cannot prove this. Bottom line: Spent $2297 for sales page, email followup sequence and 3,000 clicks. Received 200-300 clicks and -0- sales. Please be aware Femi Ojo is everywhere online. He belongs to many facebook groups and is preying upon anyone who is stuggling to get results in Internet Marketing. If he contacts you, do not respond and do not add him as a friend on facebook.
