Complaint Review: Festiva Resorts

Festiva Resorts I got a phone call from the marketing company for Festiva, I was told that we could get two nights on the beach at PepperTree in Atlantic Beach. they cancelled the reservation the day before we were to go down there and they still have our money that was taken from our bank account. When I called them I was given phone numbers that was bogus. Asheville North Carolina

We called on the phone from Festiva and told that they wanted us to come down and let them talk to us about the changes to the rules at the resort. so,I was told that for $59 we could get two nights stay at the resort and this person who called herself Cindy made the reservations and they said we had to use a credit card to reserve the two nights.

She also gave me a reservation number. When I called to reaffirm the stay I was told that they had cancelled it because they could not reach us by telephone.

According by law if any money was exchanged it is a binding contract. I tried with no success to get them to give me my money back. I talked to one of the managers and he claimed that he talked to the marketing department and they told him that when they call to confirmed a reservation and don't get an answer they cancel the reservation.

It sounds like a scam to me and I do want to fight back and I hope something will eventually be done about this scamming that this resort is doing.
