There is a reason that FFE is debt free, and that is clearly that they do not support their drivers when it comes to clutch situations. This report is far past the anger stage. I am calm and have all my senses now. FFE's motto should be "What can i take away from our drivers to ensure maximum profitability"

I have worked for FFE March of 2010, I started in their infamous clean slate lease program and after starving to death for almost two months, i switched over to being a company driver, and that is where this story originates . I became a company driver on May 25th of 2010. I am a safe driver and have always been. When hired as a company driver, they put the new Poplenet system in, which was really a blessing, because up to that point FFE dispatchers were running me over on my logbook. Expecting unrealistic arrival times. Never complaining about any violations as long as i got to the destination on time. After the installation of People net, that all stopped. Then the dispatchers had a new policy to follow. Lets run these drivers to their 70 hours and plat catchup until they have no hours at all to run, which is totally legal, however, if a driver was on a time crucial load, they would have to wait till 1 minute after midnight to get the next days hours, which totally screwed up the driver and the delivery schedule. After running out of hours completely , FFE dispatchers would then decide to change you with another driver to finish the load. and then, only then would you get a much needed restart. I will admit that there were several times that i had to run over on the peoplenet to get to the load or the shipper, because i was so ridiculously close that there was no need for a swap. My point to that is that FFE never reprimanded me for ever going over to get todeliver a load, over hours. Good for them.
When i was on the clean slate program and switched to company driver, the company policy was that i had to be rehired in to that position. So in reality, i was hired twice by this company. Saying that, when i was on the lease program, i racked up some log violations....ok, quite a few of them. Nothing was ever said to me during the lease period about any of those violations. Two months into being a company driver, i get a call fom Amy Schiling reprimanding me for the violations i had almost three months prior. Thats what i like to call, ill get around to you someday...lol. Now the reason i am saying all of this is to get to this. I will tell you outright that i had two non dot preventable accidents. one on july 4th at a petro in ohio and another at a shippers location. I reported both of those, and went through the proper procedure. I will not get into the specifics of those accidents, because it has nothing to do with this complaint.
I ran perfect until i got busted for speeding slowing down to a toll booth by an indiana State Trooper, that though he was Gunnery seargant hartman(full metal jacket fans), and he proceeded to advise me that i had a suspension in another state for an unpaid ticket. He then put me out of service, in a parking lot in bfe, indiana.
Ok, if you have made it this far, here is where it gets intense. My fiance, an APPROVED rider(for you FFE dicks), and I got online and got this ticket taken care of online, and here it is folks, was reinstated in less than 9 hours. Since i had to be cleared by safety, i could not move the truck. I called 8, yes i said 8 times and left numerous messages with a wonderful gentleman named WALTER BLACK, and let them know that ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS MAKE A PHONE CALL TO VERIFY THAT I WAS REINSTATED!!!!!!, That phone call never happened. I would be still sitting in Indiana today if i had not moved the truck to the nearest truck stop, and then.....the final blow!!!!!!!!. i went to a pilot 14 miles away, when i got there, i noticed that I had an opportunity to do a beautiful straight back, and guess what? It was beautiful, no you drivers all know, that a straight back is the easiest thing you can do as far as backing. I had plenty of room to go forward and go STRAIGHT BACK INTO THE SLOT, WHEN I GOT IN THE SLOT, I ADJUSTED THE CAB AND THAT WAS THAT, I SHUT IT DOWN. A PERFECT BACK. AFTER I SHUT THE TRUCK OFF. THE DRIVER WHO WAS IN THE BUNK GOT UP AND CAME OUTSIDE AND STARTED TAKING PICTURES OF HIS TRUCK AND MINE, SWEARING THAT WHEN I DID MY PERFECT STRAIGHT BACK, THAT I HIT HIS BUMPER AND SCRATCHED IT. OK, SO I CALLED THE COMPANY AND LET THEM KNOW THAT I WAS BEING ACCUSED OF AN ACCIDENT THAT I DID NOT COMMIT. DWIGHT, THE NIGHT SAFETY GUY TOOK THE CALL. I EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT THERE WAS NO WAY, SHORT OF A LANDSLIDE THAT I COULD HAVE HIT THIS GUY. I DID A FULL REPORT AND ALSO SENT DETAILED PICS OF MY TRUCK, HIS TRUCK, MY TRAILER WHICH WAS BRAND SPANKING NEW, STILL HAD PRIMER ON THE DOT BUMPER, NOT A SCRATCH ON IT. I WAS THEN NOTIFIED THAT NEXT MORNING THAT THEIR WAS ANOTHER DRIVER COMING TO GET MY TRAILER, AND THAT IS WHEN I KNEW THAT MY TIME WAS NUMBERED, BECAUSE WHEN HE GOT THERE, HE HAD NO TRAILER TO SWAP. I CONTINUED CALLING FFE AND MESSENGING THEM, AND HERE IS ANOTHER ONE FOR YOU. MY DISPATCHER IS JUSTIN WOOLERY, I ASKED HIM WHETHER I STILL HAD A JOB OR NOT, HE SAID OH SURE, WE JUST NEED TO GE THIS LOAD GOING. GOT TO LOVE JUSTIN. I THEN FINALLY GOT AHOLD OF GOOD OLD WALTER AGAIN, AND THIS IS WHAT HE SAID TO ME"WAYNE DO YOU THINK YOU CAN GET TO CHICAGO WITHOUT HAVING AN ACCIDENT?' GOOD OLD WALTER! I GUESS YOU HAVE TO BE EDUCATED AT M.I.T TO HAVE HIS SENSE OF HUMOR. HE THEN ADVISED ME THAT I WAS BEING TERMINATED AND TO TAKE MY TRUCK TO THE CHICAGO DROP YARD. NOW, FOR ANY OF YOU WHO HAVE EVER BEEN TO THE FFE DROPYARD, YOU CAN APPRECIATE ITS LOCATION. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT, IT REALLY SUCKS TO BE THERE. GOOD OLD WALTER AGAIN TOLD ME THAT I COULD GET AN ADVANCE AGAINST MY LAST CHECK TO GET A RENTAL CAR AND A BUS TICKET TO GO HOME. NO AND HELL NO WAS I TAKING THE CONTENTS OF A TRUCK AND MY FIANCES BELONGINGS ON A BUS, AND THAT IS NOT CONSIDERING GETTING A RENTAL CAR OR A TAXI WITH ALL THAT..NOPE, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.  I FIRED UP THE TRUCK AND HEADED TO MY HOME IN WATERLOO, IA...263 MILES AWAY. I WAS WITHIN 63 MILES.WHEN WALTER, YOU REMEMBER WALTER, GOT AHOLD OF ME AND ASKED WHERE I WAS AT. I SAID ALMOST HOME WALTER. HE CAME WITHIN MINUTES OF HAVING THE POLICE COME AFTER ME. THE COOL PART IS WALTER, IS THAT LITTLE OLD ACCIDENT PRONE ME, OUTSMARTED YOU. EAT THAT!!!.I HOPED YOU ALL ENJOYED MY WONDERFUL STORY, OF NON-FICTION. FFE DID NOT INVESTIGATE THAT ACCIDENT I TOLD YOU ABOUT, THEY SIMPLY PUT IT DOWN AS A REPORTABLE. THEY SAID I HAD MULTIPLE LOG VIOLATIONS. THEY ONLY TALKED TO ME ONCE...THATS ALL. THEY SAID I WAS UNSAFE, BUT WITH NO PROOF. THEY DESTROYED ANY CHANCE OF ME GETTING ANOTHER TRANSPORTATION JOB FOR THE NEXT THREE YEARS. BUT THATS OK, I AM BURNED OUT AND READY TO JOIN THE REAL WORLD OF WORK. BUT LET IT BE KNOWN. IF YOUWANT TO WORK FOR A COMPANY THAT WANTS A ROBOT IN THE DRIVERS SEAT. FFE IS FOR YOU. IF YOU WANT TO WORK FOR A COMPANY THAT THINKS THAT THEY ARE SMARTER THAN YOU WILL EVER BE?, FFE IS FOR YOU. IF YOU WANT A COMPANY THAT BACKS YOU UP WHEN YOU ARE RIGHT AND DESERVE TO BE DEFENDED..STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM FFE. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST..WALTER, CAN YOU GET HOME TONIGHT WITHOUT HAVING AN ACCIDENT!, YOU CONDESCENDING MONKEY...LOL

pushes the lease option on all there new drivers, I was lucky one who refused to take a lease option. FFe school is a joke, there insturcutors are a  joke, they tried to make me change my cdl over to there address (1806 mony st , fort woth , texas)(and illegal) which everyone one of the students did cause they where like deer in your headlights and believed everyword that the instructors said. I myself already had my cdl , but was out of work for a couple of years due to a illness in my family in which I had to take care of, so I had to recertify with there school, lol they wanted me to start out at .29 cents a mile, (i have my cdl) same as newbies, train on road for 6 weeks with trainer, the school sucked, they didn't provide meals, clothing material for plastic lined beds (this is the old Lisa motors yard & bunk house)., they brought you to walmart in a van 2x's a week (packed in like sardines) had 1/2 hr of shopping, had to put your food in community refrigerator ( hope no one stells ya food), up to 5 people in your room( woman get to stay in hotel) classes ar 7 am till 6pm seven days aweek , and is over in 16 days( now do they expect newbies to be able to handle OTR?), and sign a 1 yr agreement that you can't quit or you owe them money? lol at that point when i heard that I said thanks but no thanks and left. So if you want to get screwed over work for FFE if you don't want to stay clear of them!

There is an appeal board at FFE.

If you disagree with Amy in Safety, FFE has an independent appeal board that reviews case if the driver appeals.

It appears that trucking is not for you, but don't worry, you will NEVER get another trucking job with a major company. Have you ever heard of DAC?

If you moved that truck even an inch after being terminated, you engaged in GRAND THEFT. Not to mention truck abandonment for taking the truck to your home without authorization and FFE having to come get it.

It appears that you are a rookie who really should not be out there on your own anyway.

3 accidents and 2 tickets all in just a few months? Are you kidding me???

HOW could you even think, much less say that you are a "safe driver"??

Safe as compared to what? A kamikazi pilot?

FYI..The safe and legal operation of that commercial vehicle is 100% driver responsibility. By law. That was the purpose of the CDL program.

Dispatchers cannot force you to do anything, although many of them think they can. You always have the LEGAL right to just say no to an illegal dispatch. Challenge it politely, and document the conversation.

Do us all a favor, and find another line of work!

This Driver ( So-Called ) has very little training in trucking (Rookie) and he "Leased" a truck for $750.00 per week. This was his 1st mistake. He had 3 PREVENTABLE ACCIDENTS that cost FFE almost $30,000 and constant crying about not getting miles when he started crying about where he got dispatched. I' am a company driver getting ready to Lease my own truck to FFE. I have no problem with the company, I make a good living and have a super relationship with the company. This guy REFUSES to follow the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, Cannot stay out of accidents and cannot work with the fine folks at FFE and he wonders why he got "Fired"

GO FIGURE
