Early in March I sent for a free cd on finding grants for the price of 3.95 shipping. I made sure to check for continuing charges and saw nothing so went ahead and ordered it.

The first thing I saw on my bank statement was the shipping charge. Ok But then a few days later they charged my account for 99.99. There was a toll free number on my bank statement. I called these people and told them they were not authorized to take that money and I wanted it returned. That was March 20th.

He apologized and gave me an authorization number for the return and said it would be deposited back into my account and call back in 48 hours.

I called back on March 23 and they gave me another authorization number for the return and said it was being put back into my account as we spoke. Wrong!

Called back April 1 and Brittany asked me to give it till Friday. Still no money so called again April 3rd and Brittany told me her supervisor would issue me a check if I wanted. I asked her if they couldn't get it re-deposited in my account electronically, why should I think they're going to send a check. She really didn't have an answer so I told her get it sent to me.

She said it was being sent that day. Called back on April 8 and Sondra tells me it was mailed out on the past Monday (5th). Well needless to say, I still waited.

I called back on April 13th and spoke to Daniel. He said he didn't know what was wrong and it should be there by Friday the 17th. I asked him for the name of the corporate office and address. He told me that he couldn't give me that information.

I told him I thought it was against the law to withhold that information so he put me on hold and came back to give me the address. I don't know if it's the real address and fax number or if they just gave me something to make me happy. He wouldn't tell me where their call center was other than Nevada.

He said he would talk to his supervisor " when he got there " about the problem. I told him to tell his supervisor this:

I'm tired of waiting for money that you probably have no intention of paying. You took my money without my permission and caused my account to be overdrawn and charged for NSF fees. This is money I can't afford to lose and I will contact my bank to investigate plus I will spread it all over the internet where I can to let everyone know that they are thieves and scammers. If an attorney thinks I need to take this further, then I will.

Oh, I did get the cd but there wasn't anything on it that you couldn't find on the government site yourself. What a scam so watch out for these people. I have a feeling they operate under many different names.

If anyone knows how I could get my money back, I'd really like to hear about it.
