FHD General Contracting Gerard Healey ripoff did not finish work Nashua New Hampshire
It looks like we were another victim of FHD Contracting - Gereard Healey.
We hired him in March of 2004 to tear down our screened in porch and rebuild another one. He first misled us saying we didn't need a permit due to it was an existing structure. In turn we did and half way through the work we got a visit from the city of Manchester ceasing the work. Come to find out we couldn't rebuild there so the frame he had gotten finished had to be moved to the side of the house. At that point things went down hill he was not sending anybody for days to do work and when he did it was one guy.
It took him days to return our calls. He said he ordered our windows and door he never did. He left large amounts of trash in our side yard. Our roof was exposed to the elements of the weather. We had exposed electrical outlets. Rusty nails everywhere. With the first threat of a lawsuit he sent out two workers to remove the trash and then we pretty much never heard from him again. We have tried to have him served with small claims papers and it comes back not living at that address anymore.
He owes us $5000.00. My husband had to do all of the remaining work. The work that was done was like he hired any joe smoe of the street. Measurements were wrong. We were getting hirassed by ex-employees he never paid. They were acutally coming to our house to find out if we had any other way of contacting him.
My husbands mother passed in June and that is when things ceased completly with Gerard Healey. We had gone away for the services and he assured us people were going to be working there and when we returned home nothing had been touched. My husband called him and said we were bringing him to court and demanded receipts for everything he said he ordered for our addition and Gerard hung up.
Unbeliveable the conversations and how this guy runs his business. At one point when he sent to non-english speaking gentleman to work he dropped them off to work and had no tools, so they had to use my husbands. I could go on with a lot more details, but I don't think it would all fit.
