I first contacted the "company" via email on 2/17 of this year with an inquiry about product pricing. I found info about the company online and, at first, the transaction seemed very similar to many types of purchases I do for my business. As I do for any new vendor I checked to see if there was any info online re: complaints about the company - there wasn’t and there still isn’t. Two red flags - the business office was at a different location (in a different state) than the shipping office and they wanted me to pay by personal check.
But I’ve done plenty of transactions with legitimate companies with similar terms, so I wasn’t too concerned. The material I ordered has never arrived, the company will not return repeated emails or calls (all I ever get is a voicemail message), and as far as I can tell the company doesn’t actually exist. I now believe the “company” and their online information is an extremely elaborate scam. As to why anyone would think to build a scam around such an obscure material, I have no idea. I care much less about recovering my payment than I do about the fact that this company is still online and ripping off other small businesses.
