Complaint Review: FIBERGLASS REINFORCED PRODUCTS (FRP)

After about of 1 and 1/2 years of mistakes on the part of the manufacture of the Flip Pac camper shell corrosion of front hood brackets and then finally them sending it to the correct address. 
next went to mountains . while parked there i noticed rubbing on my tail gate from the cargo window frame . FRP  via Diane sent me to a dealer 15 miles away to fix the problem. yet while in the mountains i found 7 out of 8 bolts and lock nuts loose aprox. 1 inch of play in all .
i took out carpet kit and saw them that way , i got tools and tighten them down.
of course i let them know at FRP about the problem. i got no response from them (Diane) who seems to be managing the place . (bad manager by the way she does not even remember to keep an appt. and none of them there even know how to say I AM SORRY! not even the owner Homero P. Montelongo.

so i then got stress cracks in gel coating around rivets rt. hand side of cargro window. so i went there and after about 2 hours was repaired.

next problem after the repairs were done on shell, the cargo window is crapping and gouging frame of window. and a pice of the carpet there is also torn. along with the glue in upper right side bleeding though carpet that was glued. it is about the size of a base ball.

inside there is a stain where you climb into the bed area.  (Now I have never even camped in this camper shell yet and has been at this time opened by me 5 times. and then once at FRP to show inside problems.

the 6 time i opened it up for them to see including Diane, the owner Homero, and 2 other employes.
i had an appt. on sept. 21, 2012 to get the problem of cargo window replaced and they were going to look at the other problems.    including  a black strip around the top part of the camper that was cracked all around it . and it to was going to be fixed.

WELL i went almost 70 miles one way to get to them and get the window replaced. (which they had to special order it  according to Diane )

When i arrived for the repairs to be done. Diane saw me walk in and was surprised to see me.
She said " Did We Have An Appointment?"    yes of course i said. WELL the problem is quoted by Diane we don't have the window. so i guess they used it on another customers camper shell that they were building .

so I am just left out into the cold. they gave me a written note from Diane they would pick up my camper shell fix it and i thought she said they would send it back down to dealer so they could install it  back on my truck.

Yet NOW they are ignoring me. I have filed a complaint with the B B B still to this date no response from them.

also i don't know what the materials are made of or where they are made.

Oh i did finally get the owners manual in Sept. 2012 i got it in March 2011. 

I have asked for a replacement of a new flip pac camper shell.  no response.
This unit i bought direct from Manufacture .  if i got it though a dealer i most likely would not have had the problems.

it seems that it is a factory 2nd. i don't know but the workman ship is bad and the customer service and response and repairs are also bad. they does not seem to be anyone checking product to make sure it is done right.

At the beginning when i Put down $1500 deposit Diane said it would take 10 days to build.

after being put off for months . it took over 4 months to get this product. also i noticed on invoice it said 10 weeks not 10 days and she said.    the Total cost of this  no sales tax because they had a special deal. is $3950.00   I don't know perhaps they did not even pay sales tax to state???

I found they use to be a corp. till they lost it by being SUSPENDED. FOR NOT PAYING THEIR TAX'S!

it is just more of the same LIES. and trying to get away with my money.

they owe me a days wages, for not keeping my appointment. as well. plus gas , ware and tare on truck.

I may have missed something in this report. but at least i got most of it .  

I do KNOT recommend this product to anyone.  It could be a good product . but ripping off the customer is not good business.

so beware don't buy one .... !!!!!

they act like they are FLY BY NITE!! if they are hurting that bad and rip off the customer they need to be OUT of BUSINESS.
