Complaint Review: FID Shipping

My husband chose to use FID because he liked the door to door service and the quote.  We paid the deposit with our Amex card.  The first thing we should have known was going wrong was when they asked us to palletize and wrap our goods.  We did this.  The pick up truck was then a week late.  Because we lived in a remote location that seemed normal.

Our goods were picked up on March 18th.  We were told that our goods would make a ship that was leaving soon.  Great!  Well, then were told our goods didn't make the ship and it would be a month.  Emails to Richard went unanswered, calls never answered, after two months Richard said our goods were on the London Express 70E22 and would be to us by Aug 1.  I tracked the ship and saw it had cleared England and Rotterdam.  Where are our goods?

Finally I got Itmar to answer the phone and was told that our goods are sitting in a warehouse in LA.  They were never on the boat.  WE have filed a report with the FMC, and we have been in contact with Super Movers who are the agent in LA that said they will check to see if our goods are in their warehouse.  

So FID has never sent our goods, they are out of business, he states that our good will be on the next boat.  We took out insurance with FID so we have no insurance either.  For now we are waiting to see what happens next week and what the FMC says to do.

FID will open another company and keep rip-off people!  Stay away!
