My mother passed away 8 and 1/2years ago from complications derived from Multiple Sclerosis. She had a life insurance policy for $25K, me as the insured, and her as the beneficiary.

As I've already stated, she died January 4, 1995. I have been trying to cancel this policy, which had a cash value in 1995 of over $700. and now has a cash value of only $179. I have tried periodically over the past 8 1/2 years to cancel this policy. I have faxed and mailed, death certificates, filled out forms, left messages, talked to supervisors, written letters to the Department of Commerce...

I don't know what else to do. Everytime I talk to someone from F&G, there is something else that I have to do that the person before them didn't tell me.

I want the policy canceled. That's all. What does a person have to do to get this policy canceled? I mean, my mom is dead. If I died, who would they make the check out to? And who would cash it?
