Complaint Review: Fidelity Creditor SCV

These people are some sort of scam. They are collecting a "debt" on behalf of the Villas at Royal Kunia; an apartment complex that I leased for a year. There was a lot of anamosity bewtween management and my wife and as a result they have attempted to pile on ludacris charges which this collection agency is now pursuing me for. 

Since they could not find anything to actually charge me for; they have stated that I owe in excess of $1500 as they had to recarpet the entire apartment. This is FALSE. Less than 24 hours before moving out I had the carpets professionally cleaned. I sent a copy of the receipt as well as a sworn statement from the company to the apartment management. They decided to go ahead and give my information to this agency with no further warning. I have since sent the EXACT same information to FIDELITY CREDITOR SVC and they will not stop writing and writing and writing and each month are reporting it as a negative account. 

My father co-signed with me to lease this apartment since I had no credit after college. He actually removed his name from the lease after I had been there for a while so that my wife could be added instead. My father is elderly and they call him daily and have done so for over a year. He has asked them to stop calling based on the fact that he was actually no longer a co-singer and not to mention that we have proof that the carpet was cleaned. They will not stop calling him. He is nervous to answer his phone. He has had the same number for years and is at the point where he is going to change the number.

It is NOT okay for these people to hound and harrass us. They have no legal grounds to be pursuing a debt from us. There IS no debt. They should be ashamed of themselves too for threatening an elderly person with immaculate credit by the way until this. The harassment must stop. 

Will definitely be taking legal action against these scumbags.
