Fidelity Reader Service, Inc. Pressured into buying, Lied to about cancelation, account sent to a collection agency, treated like an idiot, called a liar. and product was never sent to me. Naples, Florida

Two guys came to my door to sell magazines for some competition for the school. They literally would NOT take no for an answer and would not go away. I tried telling them we were not financially capable of making such uneeded purchases, but they still would not go away. they then told me that i could just cancle my check after i placed the order. They said since it would be a spontaneous order i could just cancle the check without any penalties. By this point i just wanted them to leave.

My husband was in Iraq it was just me and my two year old daughter so two guys at my door who would not leave was really unsettleling. espcially when they seemed to be checking my house out behind my back and makeing comments that could be taken as hitting on. I did what they said. made the order then the next day, since it was kind of late when they came i looked at my reciept and realized they had lied about how to cancle the order. i actually had to send in a copy of the reciept. good thing i read that. but the thing was it had to be sent in within 3 days... yeah exactly. i sent it in. cancled my check cause like i said i was not financially able to make such a purchase (totalling $120). Then today i get a letter in the mail from a collection agency saying they are going to come after me for fraud if i dont pay $390 within 30 days.
