After a hand shake and a promise to keep our payments at a certain price, the contract didn't meet up to that promise.

We went ahead and signed it against our better judgement. After taking possesion a few days later they called and said they had found 2 payments that had been bumped to the end of our lease and they needed more money from us. We felt like that was thier fault they called Ford and got the pay-off. I could have done that myself but that was thier responsibility. So we told them how we felt and they said we call Ford Motor and tell them that it is a work truck and that will take care of it.

We did and that didn't work so they held our free bedliner hostage until we could pay them. They also gave us and estimate on our lease vehicle of around $800.00, that doubled and changed after we signed the contract. We tried to return the truck and work on another deal with them but they didn't want it back. We talked to everyone ther at oner time or another trying to resolve the problem. We finally gave them the 2 lease payments and they gave us the bedliner. They then informed us that Ford Motors would be billing us for the rest, which they just did. They would normally finance us through Ford but they couldn't get it done.

They must have filed over 15 applications for a loan, I suspect they couldn't get us financed. which does not look good on our credit report.

Why you had 2 extra payments

Ford typically will extend your lease if you are late on any payments. So, if you were a bit late on 2 payments they would have extended the lease by two months. The dealer probably went off their records of the original lease to calculate what was owed to payoff the lease. They probably did not forsee the 2 pmt extension.

If they worked with ford to get your loan approved, it will only show the original inquiry on your credit report. They will not pull multiple times. If they sent it to multiple banks, multiple pulls occur.

Bottom line, Fiesta Ford was wrong in not securing accurate lease end information. However, it is your responsibility to ensure your lease is paid in full.
