Fiesta Pools Of Gulfport Mississippi Quick to make a sale, poor workmanship, takes no blame for improper installation, no service after sale! Gulfport Mississippi
My Experience with Fiesta Pools:
In April 2006, I contacted Fiesta Pools for an inquiry about an inground pool. A very eager saleswoman met us at our home the following day to discuss different options for our future backyard paradise. Little did we know, what this company had in store for us.
After the sale was complete by the eager saleswoman, a substantial down payment was given to her and materials began to arrive at our residence. In the next week, a crew showed up to start digging the hole for our future pool. As the installation process went on, my entire yard was a mess, workers would not show up everyday, parts and material were scattered throughout the backyard in the mud, some that was never found.
When we contacted the saleswoman to complain of the inferior installation, she claimed, our kids were the blame for all the missing parts. This was grown adults, so we thought, installing our pool, who would not pick up or clean up behind themselves. As this process went on for several weeks, behind schedule, our patients were wearing very thin. We had to hire a crew to come in to clean the yard, haul away trash and reopen ditches.
After numerous to the Gulfport, MS office, I believed this time we finally got someones attention. The liner for the pool was not correct. It did not fit at all. This went on for sometime.
After getting the correct liner for the pool, Fiesta began filling the pool with water. This is the first pool we have ever owned. Never once did any representative of Fiesta Pools explain to us how the saltwater system, that they recommended, operated. We were lost! After several weeks of the so called completion of our pool, our nightmare had just begun.
We took our first dip in our pool only to find out that the parts that were lost was under the pool liner. Water was filling in between the liner and the polymer walls of the pool. Again, we called Fiesta Pools to explain the problems we were having. The saleswoman was not so eager to help after receiving final payment, which we were hesistant to give, because of the above said problems.
Everytime we called Fiesta and explain our complaint, they would tell us someone would be out to look at it. A pool tech finally did show up after several phone calls and agreed we did have some major problems with this pool. This went on for weeks with Fiesta, with he said, she said. We finally got a call back from the owners of Fiesta Pools only to find out again, it was our fault.
The owner and us went back and forth on the phone several times until he came out himself to take a look at the situation and again he also agreed we had major issues. Keep in mind our whole backyard is stenciled concrete. The owner and his crew showed up. The began to core drill 8 to 10 three inch holes around our pool deck. Next they started pumping light weight concrete into these holes. This went on for sometime. I walked outside to check the progress, only again to find out, we had bigger problems. The concrete that was pumped in the holes blew out the walls of the pool. Fiesta put the concrete back in the holes and explained to us what had happen. As you can imagine, we were ready to get this entire mess off of my property.
The owner began to pull the couplings on the coping from one side bending and screwing them to fit the side they had just messed up. Still today my pool has sharp metal edges with no couplings on them. As you can tell this did not work. The owner of Fiesta came up with another option; to install an underground pump under the pool deck which would eliminate this problem.
The owner stated this would only cost a couple hundred dollars because someone two houses down and two other homeowners in the immediate neighborhood was having the same problem with their Fiesta Pools. He would fix them all at once and split the cost of the sand and limestone. The owner also said we would only have to pay for the underground pump.
After agreeing with the owner of Fiesta Pools, the repair was under way, but not on the terms the owner agreed to. I called a local friend to deliver me a load of sand and limestone. I paid for that, not Fiesta Pools. Fiesta also tore down my privacy fence to gain access to the area in which the pump was to be installed. I paid to have that reinstalled. After the pump was installed the owner handed me a bill, which I had no problem paying a couple hundred dollars to get rid of this problem. I could not believe my eyes to discover the total due. This bill was in excess of $1500. All Fiesta supplied was a pump from Lowes. I paid them.
Weeks went on, we thought the problem was cured. We walk in the backyard to discover all the sand that was put in the hole over the pump had done pumped out to the street. This is were the outlet was located for the pump. I called Fiesta again to explain the problems were reoccuring. They told me in order to come back out to our property it would cost $175 service call. This was like a bad nightmare I could not wake up from.
Still today, I have not heard from nor seen anyone from Fiesta Pools. Our backyard paradise is now a backyard frog and mosquito pond. Friends and family are just as upset as we are about this whole ordeal. It is a disgrace to our beautiful $400,000 home. There are four other people in our neighborhood and many more throughout the MS. Coast who are having these same problems and getting the same results. (Nothing!)
My next step is to call the local news station WLOX with action reporter A.J. Giardina. He seems to have a way in getting dead beat, irresponsible businesses to come to the table. This company needs to be stopped!

Jess,
I want to first say I am truly sorry for what you guys had to go through and anyone that spends money on a service/product should get what contractually they have agreed too. I can only imagine that each time you guys go out and look at your pool or backyard escape, it sounds like that is what you want to do ---- ESCAPE. I have no good answers to your headache and heartache, but hopefully if you feel that injustice has been done you go down the proper channels --- the justice system, BBB, or as you stated the news. It also sounds like other people have had the same issue with this company.
The one question that has always intrigued me about pools is why would someone with a $400,000 dollar house put a shower curtain/liner in their backyard? It could be the fact it is not in your area, but just one of those things that strike me, well I guess you would say, strange.
Good Luck,
Jacob
