Fifth Third Bank EXCESSIVE SAVINGS WITHDRAWAL FEE caused Overdraft Hilliard, Ohio Ohio
I've been a 5/3 banking customers for a number of years and recently opened a checking account. After checking my balances online I noticed a deposit had not cleared for the checking account, and made a transfer from my savings to cover the purchases.
This left a small amount in my savings account, but it was not empty nor overdrawn. However, the next day they charged an EXCESSIVE SAVINGS WITHDRAWAL FEE of $20.00, more than I had in my account. Then, they charged me an overdraft fee.
I recognize I messed up in not having enough in my checking to cover what I spent. My problem is that I cannot find a mention of a EXCESSIVE SAVINGS WITHDRAWAL FEE anywhere on the website or my personal papers.
