I, too, was charged for "excessive" savings withdrawals from a savings account at Fifth Third Bank. I was charged $10.00 for more than 5 withdrawals in a month. I was not aware there would be any such charges, but it is probably a policy written in small print somewhere. I also was charged $2.00 for a "forgeign inquiry" into my checking account. I have no idea where that inquiry came from, but since I only had 70 cents in my account at that moment (a temporary matter) I was charged $10.00 in fees to import money from savings account to cover the $2.00 fee! That inquiry fee is absurd and is for something a person has no control over.

Also, Just want to thank you for saving me from signing up for several businesses that turned out to be less than scrupulous. You do all of us a great service!

Actually, a "foreign inquiry" is a balance inquiry at a different bank's ATM.

The truth is that you've probably been hacked - and someone is trying to access your account from overseas.  I would immediately have your computer purged of the virus that allowed someone access to your account.

I would immediately contact the bank and report your hack situation.  You may get a relief and you may not.  Whatever the situation, I would normally advise people to keep more than $1 in their account in case there is such a situation, however it seems that carelessness saved you.  I guess a broken clock really is right twice per day.....

Best of luck to you.
